1. Price

I bought the MDF MD One for 99 USD while I bought the MDF Classic Cardiology was 125 USD. It’s a big difference in price between the two but it is a justified difference. Let’s find out more about what they have to offer.

2. Weight

The MDF MD One weighs 190g or 6.7oz while the MDF Classic Cardiology weighs 270g or 9.5oz. Personally, both stethoscope is too heavy for my liking. I like hanging my stethoscope on my neck with these stethoscopes, at the end of my shift, I can feel them on me. This is especially true with the MDF Classic Cardiology because of the big stainless steel diaphragm and binaurals. If you don’t usually hang your stethoscope around your neck then the weight of these stethoscopes won’t bother you.

3. Acoustics

When it comes to acoustics, the MDF MD One and MDF Classic Cardiology both have good, loud and clear acoustics. But the MDF Classic Cardiology is inarguably much better than the MD One and this is due to the fact that it is a specialized stethoscope that has dual-lumen tubing.

4. Length

The MDF MD One is 78cm or 31in long, while the MDF Classic Cardiology is 75cm or 29in long. I like the length of the MDF Classic Cardiology and for me, this is the perfect length for a stethoscope. I am not bending much and it is not too long, as the MDF MD One. The MDF MD One’s tubing just flaps around as I use it. It brushes on the patient, the beddings or my arms so I’m not really a fan of its length. This one is up to you if you prefer long or short stethoscope tubings

5. Tubing Feel

Both the MDF MD One and the MDF Classic Cardiology got a low score for the Tubing Feel. The reason for this is because both of their tubings feel a little sticky. They stick to my skin and to the little hairs on the back of my neck. The MDF MD One’s tubing is flexible though, I give it that, compared to the stiff tubing of the MDF Classic Cardiology. In my detailed review, I gave the MDF MD One 2 out of 5 Stars and the MDF Classic Cardiology a 2.5 out of 5 Stars.

6. Spare Kit

The MDF MD One and MDF Classic Cardiology have the same spare kit inclusions which are:
2 Sizes Ear Tips (Small and Large), Plastic Diaghpragm, Nametag, User Manual.

7. Warranty

Both the MDF MD One and MDF Classic Cardiology have the same warranty which is free parts for life, which I personally love.

8. Overall Score

In my detailed review for the stethoscopes, the MDF MD One got a 31.5 out of 50 stars and the MDF Classic Cardiology got a 38 out of 50 stars. In my detailed reviews I rate them under 10 aspects and give them a score out of five in each aspect; so by the end, they can have the highest score of 50 stars.
