In this video, I'm going to be sharing with you my review of the Littmann lightweight II S.E. And by the end, you're going to know if this beauty is the one for you.

Hey, hey. What's up guys? Nurse Jenny here from Nurse Jenny Reviews, where I give you my honest opinion, so that you can make an informed choice.

And if you are like me, into all things nursing, consider subscribing.

And if you found this video at all helpful, give it a thumbs up. So let's get in to the video.

I will be giving each stethoscope that I review a score out of 50.

And to do that, I will be reviewing 10 different aspects and give them a score out of five in each aspect.

Don't worry about taking any notes, guys.

I will put all the information in the show notes below for your reference.

ACOUSTICS (3.5 STARS)

So let's start with the most important thing when it comes to a stethoscope, the acoustics.

I have given this stethoscope a three and a half stars out of five.

And the reason it doesn't get a five I think is probably because it is made out of plastic.

And it is a single lumen tube.

But a three and a half star for the price is in my book a pretty good rating.

EAR TIP COMFORT (5 STARS)

Now the second most important thing to me is the ear tip comfort, and the Littmann, as always, has got great ear tips.

These ear tips are quite large and soft.

They fit really well in the ears, and they seal out any extra noise that you don't want.

So I've actually given it a five out of five.

It is the best ear tips I have tried.

WEIGHT (5 STARS)

Now when it comes to the weight of this stethoscope, it only weighs a 118 grams or 4.1 ounces, which makes it the most lightest stethoscope out there.

So I have given it a five out of five for that.

You can barely feel it sitting around your neck, and it's a great weight for a stethoscope.

PRICE (5 STARS)

When it comes to the price of this stethoscope, I bought it for $54.00 USD from Amazon.

And I'm giving that a five out of five.

The value for money here is pretty incredible.

FREE GIVEAWAY

Also guys, all these stethoscopes that I do review, I will be giving away.

I can't keep collecting stethoscopes.

So click the link below in the show notes, enter, and you may have a chance to win.

TUBING LENGTH (4 STARS)

So the tubing length of this stethoscope is 71 cm, which is 28 inches, which is a nice length, but for my liking, it could be just a touch longer.

I've given it a four out of five stars on that one.

TUBING FEEL (4 STARS)

The feel of the tubing is quite nice. It is soft and flexible and quite smooth.

It's nice on your skin around your neck.

It doesn't get sticky like other stethoscopes can get sometimes.

I have also cleansed it several times with alcohol wipes, and it's still nice and smooth.

So I've given it a four out of five stars.

STETHOSCOPE DESIGN- (3 STARS)

The stethoscope design is quite unique.

The chest piece has got this tear drop shape to it, which supposedly fits nicely under the blood pressure cuff or around bandages and things like that.

It is also turnable, which is good.

So you can use the diaphragm or the open bell.

Now the open bell does not convert to a pediatric size, so it does not come with a smaller diaphragm to put on there.

The joints at the Y shape is a little bit plasticky, and it comes apart quite ... not easily, but if you do put a bit of force on it, it would come off.

For this reason, I've given the stethoscope design a three out of five stars.

SPARE KIT- (0 STARS)

The spare kit aspect of this stethoscope is pretty poor.

You actually don't get a spare kit at all, so you don't get any extra ear tips or diaphragms or name tag.

Nothing like that.

And I've given it a zero out of five.

WARRANTY- (2.5 STARS)

Warranty is two year, so I've given that a two and a half out of five.

BUYING EXPERIENCE- (1 STAR)

Now for the buying experience of the Littmann lightweight, I must say I actually received this packaging already damaged.

It's got creases all over it.

And the presentation of the stethoscope inside the box was not the greatest.

It comes just laid in there on top of this foam.

And there's no bells and whistles.

It's just a little box and nothing else.

Therefore, I've given the binding experience a one star out of five.

Now this doesn't obviously change the functionality of the actual stethoscope, but I do like to include it just to get an overall feel of the whole product.

OVERALL 33 OUT OF 50 STARS

So overall, the Littmann lightweight receives a good score of 33 out of 50 stars.

It scored really highly in ear tip comfort, price, and weight.

And what brought it down was the warranty, the lack of spare kit, and the whole buying experience.

I think the Littmann lightweight is a great nurse entry level stethoscope or anyone who's looking for a cheapish stethoscope, but don't want to compromise on the acoustics.

It's also great for anyone who can't stand the weight of a stethoscope at the end of the long day.

This is only 118 grams, 4.1 ounces, so you can barely feel it sitting on your neck.

See you guys on my next stethoscope review. And remember, listen with your heart.
